Cayzer, and eldest daughter Winifred Cayzer, to their grandparents. Correspondence (and dispute) between Charles and his father re the future education and employment of Charles' sons Charles and Arnold, 1914, cut short by Arnold's sudden serious illness, and death in 1914 from what may have been a cancerous tumour of the spine. Arnold's interment at Gartmore. Portraits of the children made by Miss (Edith) Scannell (portraits paid for by Sir Charles). Charles jr's future plans, and enlistment for training at Sandhurst 1915, joining the 19th Hussars, and deployment to the front lines in France in 1916. The bundle includes one letter from Minnie Cayzer to Louie Cayzer (widow of Arthur Cayzer), and a copy of a letter from Charles jr to his parents, which was copied deliberately to be sent on to Sir Charles (there should be more of these).
